Yes! Simply bring your receipt in-person or call the Admissions Desk to apply your purchased ticket towards the cost of a membership. This offer is valid for seven (7) days after your visit and cannot be done online. 

Please note that we can only apply the number of purchased tickets that would normally be covered under a membership. For example, if you purchased 4 adult tickets, but are looking to buy a Family Level Membership, only 2 of the purchased adult tickets would be applied as part of that membership level.

If you have already purchased a membership, you will not be able to apply past ticket purchases retroactively. Memberships cannot be fully or partially refunded.

ASTC Reciprocity

Your membership with Discovery World entitles you to free or discounted general admission to more than 300 science centers and museums worldwide through the reciprocal admission program with the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC).

Participation and benefits of this program can change at any time, so please keep the following notes in mind:

• Call Ahead – Before visiting any museum, give them a call to verify that their reciprocal admission benefits and/or discounts are still in effect.
• Bring Your Membership Card – You will need your digital or physical membership card with you to verify your identity and the active status of your membership. Without this, you will be required to pay full admission prices.
• Check Lists and Distance Restrictions – The ASTC Travel Passport Program has distance restrictions in place. Make sure the museum you intend to visit is not located within 90 miles of either Discovery World or your home residence. This distance is measured as a straight line distance, not a driving distance, so please be aware.

Other Reciprocity

Discovery World members receive 50% off general admission for up to 2 adults and 4 children at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry. Discounts not applicable for special exhibitions, experiences, or other membership benefits.

Upon arrival, please check in at the Admissions Desk. Staff will need to see a photo ID to ensure that no one else is using your membership benefits except for authorized cardholders.

Memberships are not transferable and may not be loaned or used by those not named as an authorized cardholder on the membership.

If you parked in the garage, you will receive a validation ticket. The validation ticket gives you a flat rate $6 parking fee. This rate only applies during normal business hours.

An email on how to access your digital membership card get automatically sent to your email when you join and can be easily added to your smartphone wallet for safekeeping. Sometimes this email gets lost in spam folders. If you have checked your spam folder and you still have not received this email, please email membership@discoveryworld.org for assistance.

No. An adult named cardholder must be present in order for the membership to be used and for any children in the household to receive their member admission. 

When entering the garage, you will need to scan a credit card. Upon checking in at the Admission Desk, you will receive a validation ticket. As you leave the garage, you will scan the credit card you used when entering and then scan the validation ticket. This will bring your fee down to a $6 flat rate. This rate only applies during normal business hours.

Reserving tickets online in advance is recommended to guarantee entry. Walk-Up tickets are available at time of entry, if capacity limits allow. However, if we reach capacity, there may be a long wait for entry.

To receive your member benefit of free admission, please make sure you are signed in when reserving Member Admission tickets online. Member discounts are applied after tickets are added to the cart. You will not see the discount before tickets are put into the cart.

Yes, you can gift a membership!

Purchase a membership online, check the box that you are purchasing the membership as a GIFT, and an e-mail notification will be sent to your gift recipient with information on how to use it. If a membership is purchased as a gift, all items will be sent directly to the gift recipient.
