Discovery World firmly believes that everyone should have the opportunity to explore endlessly and start their lifelong learning adventure. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and partners, we are thrilled to offer reduced student admission rates and/or partial transportation reimbursement to qualifying Wisconsin K5-12 schools.
Please note that this funding is specifically designated for reduced student admission fees or partial bus transportation reimbursement. It cannot be applied to other programs or additional adult chaperone costs.
School Access Support requests are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. For qualifying K5-12 grade Wisconsin schools only. Funding is limited.
Admission Scholarships provide reduced student admission fees for Wisconsin K5-12 school groups based on a school’s Economically Disadvantaged rating. Schools with an Economically Disadvantaged rating of 70% or higher are eligible to apply.
Qualifying schools are limited to two (2) visits within a 90-day period.
Bus Scholarships offer assistance to Wisconsin K5-12 schools with bus transportation costs. Schools with an Economically Disadvantaged rating of 70% or higher are eligible to apply.
This program provides a partial reimbursement amount for busing expenses to and from Discovery World, per visit. Reimbursements are sent to the school. All reimbursements will be issued after the visit date and with appropriate proof of payment.
A school’s Economically Disadvantaged rating is determined from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s (DPI) School Report Cards.
To find your school’s Economically Disadvantaged rating, please visit https://apps2.dpi.wi.gov/reportcards and find your school. Use the most recent report card year provided by DPI. Within your Report Card, find the circle graph and % under the Economically Disadvantaged heading.
To apply for School Access Support, please complete an application using the button link below. You will be notified of a decision within 15 business days of submission via e-mail.
Submission of an application does not guarantee funding approval. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Funding is limited.
