What is the Engineering Machine Design Contest?
High school teams from across the area are showcasing and exhibiting their machine at this regional contest hosted in our spacious Pavilion. This is an opportunity for student teams to design and build a complex machine using everyday objects.
Each year a competition theme is chosen to guide the machine build and allow for whimsical creativity to flourish. Students can explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) principles while having fun in a collaborative environment.
*This event is organized by STEM Forward in collaboration with the Minnesota State Engineering Center of Excellence.
*The competition is free to attend, but general admission applies if you plan on visiting the Discovery World exhibits.
