Aquarist Assistant

Do you love our animals as much as we do? Consider working behind the scenes helping our Aquarist in their care! Aquarist Assistants do a variety of tasks such as food preparation and feeding, water quality monitoring and cleaning in Discovery World’s Reiman Aquarium. This role requires moving, bending, lifting, and exposure to shellfish and other possible allergens and hazardous materials.

Qualifications

Minimum age 18 years old. Younger volunteers are welcome to join our waitlist. Online Background Check, Liability Waiver, Confidentiality Policy, and Emergency Action Plan required.

Training

Training provided.

Scheduling

Minimum of 2 shifts per month for a minimum of 3 months (minimum of 12 hours). Shifts available Monday-Sunday, 8:00am-4:00pm in two-hour increments.
